Siam advises in Finland on the "trending topics" of chemical legislation

Pilar Ortiz, a member of Siam’s legislative support team, took part on the Seminar organized by Chementors, a chemical safety consultant and our partner in the Scandinavian country.

Siam team spoke about the trending topics regarding chemical legislation, the European Union harmonization in the notifications of dangerous mixtures and also the extended safety data sheets.

Kenneth Bergroth, from Chementors Oy, made two talks about Siam products: one related to Chemeter: easy-to-use SDS tool and the other related to SDS-Area, management software for SDS.

The opening and closing sesions were given by Jani Määttä, manager of Chementors Oy as well as Jay Nylund who spoke about the REACH Regulation and other company services: safety advice, regulation on cosmetics and biocides.

For its part, Minna Valtavaara, of the Finnish Chemical Safety Agency, Tukes, detailed the management of chemical information in Finland.

Chementors, a company also present in Hong Kong, organized this seminar at the Messukeskus Exhibition Center in Helsinki.

The seminar was attended by many potential Siam customers who were interested in the products.
