Updated exposure limits for lead and diisocyanates

One year has passed since the draft was published, it is now available the Directive (EU) 2024/869 in its final version.

It updates Exposure Limits (OEL) for lead and its inorganic compounds. Given the importance of these substances due to its reprotoxic effect, new biological limit values have been established and the existing OEL have been lowered to a quarter in this new regulation. Additionally, VLA values have been defined for diisocyanates.

This directive came into force on 2nd April 2024, giving EU member states two years to incorporate it into their national directives, by 9th April 2026.
