ATP 14 - application of the regulation (UE) nº 2020/217
Regulation (EC) 2020/217, ATP 14 (Adaptation to Technical Progress) which amend, for the purposes of its adaptation to technical and scientific progress Regulation (EC) No 1272/2008 of the European Parliament and of the Council on classification, labelling and packaging of substances and mixtures, was published the last 18th February 2020.
The new ATP shall apply from 9 September 2021. We can find the update of Annex VI of the CLP (Harmonized Classification and Label), and the review of several existing entries, also the creation of new entries. The main change is found in titanium dioxide (TiO2).
Timeline for implementing the 14 ATP of the CLP Regulation
- 4 February 2020: End of scrutiny period
- 18 February 2020: Publication in official Journal
- 9 March 2020: Entry into force, 20 days after publication
- 1 October 2021: Application after 18 months transition
