EUCLEFT, an online search tool for EU chemical legislation

The European Chemicals Agency (ECHA) has just launched EUCLEFT, an online search tool for EU chemical legislation.

Thanks to this new search engine, financed by the European Program for Business Competitiveness (COSME), professionals in the chemical industry will automatically have access, on a single website, to 40 European laws regilating their daily activities.

Bjorn Hansen, Executive Director of ECHA, assures that “EUCLEF will be really useful for companies, especially SMEs, who need to keep up-to-date with their obligations under different EU laws. Small businesses are the backbone of Europe's chemical industry, and EUCLEF will help them save time and money so they can focus on what really matters, innovating and growing their business while safeguarding our health and the environment."

The first version of the search engine covers legislation on air and water quality, worker protection, pesticides, food contact materials, cosmetic products, toy safety and many more. In addition, it is planned to add another 16 legislative frameworks in 2021.
