Supporting motorcyclist Paul Dufour in the National Speed Championship

The SIAM IT Company is truly committed to sports involving cutting-edge technology, dedication and teamwork, values which are reflected in its business philosophy. This is why the leader in software for the automatic creation and management of safety data sheets (SDS) and labels has, for the second year running, pledged financial support to the young motorcycle racer Paul Dufor, who is competing in the Spanish Superstock 600 Championship.

On 22nd and 23rd of October 2016, the Navarra Speed Circuit staged the final qualifier for the Spanish Speed Championship in the Superstock/Open 600 category.

On the Saturday timed practice sessions took place to decide pole position and the order of the starting grid for Sunday, as well as the first two PreMoto3 and Female races, won by David Salvador and Andrea Sibaja respectively.

In the qualification round in the morning, the rain played a dirty trick on Paul, who couldn't finish the race after falling off on the first lap. The afternoon was key for his classification. The clouds gave way to sunshine and Paul completed a brilliant last lap, securing 18th position on the grid after finishing the 3,933 metres of the track in 1:51:129.

The starting signal was given for the final race on Sunday and after a poor start, which placed our motorcyclist in 25th place at the end of the first lap, Paul fought back with a thrilling performance, ending up in 17th place. With a fantastic progression, he snatched the speed record with a peak of 252.3 km/h at the end of the home stretch. Paul Dufour will now practise at the Valencia circuit to prepare for next season, when SIAM will continue to support him and his JEG team.
