SIAM partners with CESFAC

On the 28th of September 2016, SIAM played a key role in the meeting of the fourteen regional organisations which make up the Spanish Confederation of Animal Feed Manufacturers (CESFAC).

Over three years ago, SIAM and CESFAC signed an agreement to provide support on REACH, GHS, CLP and ADR legislation to all its members. Since then, we have held several events addressing the obligations of the industry with regard to these issues.

Given the concerns about the introduction of the CLP Regulation to the animal feed industry, on the 1st of January, SIAM focused the event on key compliance-related aspects of labelling, safety data sheets (SDS), carriage of dangerous goods by road (ADR) and data transmission (SDS) in the supply chain by means of our SdSArea platform.

We were fortunate enough on this day to enjoy the invaluable collaboration of EPSON, which showed us the company's solution for printing full-colour labels with the ColorWorks series of printers.

The attendees were very interested in the content of the meeting, actively participating with questions that were duly answered by our technical staff.

An intense workload lies ahead to implement the regulations and SIAM will be working alongside members to facilitate compliance.
