Update of the Candidate List of Substances of Very High Concern (SVHCs)

The Candidate List of substances of very high concern (SVHCs) has been upgraded to 205 substances. The ECHA (European Chemical Agency) has just included 4 new substances; due to their toxicity to reproduction, endocrine disruption and a combination of other properties of concern. Our Chemeter software has already the current information added in order to create Safety Data Sheets (SDS) up to date.

The 4 substances and the reasons are the following:

• • Diisohexyl phthalate (CAS 71850-09-4)

• • 22-benzyl-2-dimethylamino-4'-morpholinobutyrophe (CAS 119313-12-1)

  Substance used in polymer production
• • 2-methyl-1-(4-methylthiophenyl)-2-morpholinopropan-1-one (CAS 71868-10-5)

• • Perfluorobutane sulfonic acid (PFBS) and its salts

  Serious effects to the environment (Article 57(f) - environment) and to human health (Article 57(f) – human health) Substance used in polymer production and synthesis process
