First steps towards Eurasia REACH
updated new on 14/05/2020: Due to the COVID-19 pandemic, Russia’s ministry of industry and trade announced to extend the deadline for existing chemical inventory notification. The old deadline was before May 1 of this year, now it has been postponed until August 1, 2020.
Russia’s ministry of industry and trade reminds the deadline until May 1st of 2020, to submit data to its national inventory of chemicals circulated in the Russian Federation or another member state of Eurasian Economic Union (Armenia, Belarus, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan and Russia).
This is a first step towards the implementation of the awaited Technical Regulation on Chemical Safety TR041, known as Eurasia-REACH Regulation.
The substances that had been notified and are collected in this inventory before the deadline will be eligible for a transitional period and a simplified registration. Those substances that are not reported will be considered new substances and must submit a complete registration. For this reason, companies are encouraged to present notifications before May.
